Francis Engerer

Francis’ commitment to squash knows no limits! Having first picked up a racket in 1970 during the squash “boom”, Francis quickly established himself at his local squash club, Eastway, becoming first team captain and coach within his first three years of playing.

Dubbed the nickname “Jack Russell” for his never-say-die attitude on a squash court, Francis is more than just a fan favourite – he’s an over 50’s Essex Champion. With a wealth of experience under his belt, he is the perfect role model for the future generation of squash stars.

Francis will soon be leading the free Squash 101 session at David Lloyd Gidea Park every Friday from 6-7pm.
